Just a quick update for today, as I am only in Chorrera for a few hours this afternoon. But, this morning when I was in my “outhouse” I saw one of my neighbors approaching with a cow on a rope and I thought, “I wonder what they are doing with that cow”. They tied it to a tree in my back yard, and I went back inside to get ready for school. About 10 minutes later I was ready, and I went out again to see what they were doing, and the cow was dead, feet up, and they were slicing the neck. Needless to say, lots of people in town were buying beef today.
